Peter was born in Llanelli, South Wales, where he developed an early interest in drawing and creative expression that would remain with him throughout his life.
His early life was marked by a serious childhood accident, from which he made a full recovery.

His first true experience of pen & ink drawing occurred during his mechanical engineering apprenticeship at the local Trostre works, Steel Company of Wales, (as it was then known) . During the 4th year of his apprenticeship he was transferred to the drawing office where he first developed a love of drawing using ink on acetate sheets (basically plastic paper) and was soon hooked.

‍ ‍Once he completed his apprenticeship he moved to work at an oil company drawing office in Moorgate, London where he worked until accepting an engineering job in Middletown, Connecticut, USA. In 1968 he returned to London where he found a number of engineering drafting jobs, which, of course, gave him more chances at honing his pen & ink skills.

He started the current medium of pen & ink drawings in 1975 while working as an engineer at the Heysham ‘A’ Nuclear Power station construction site. The first pen & ink drawing he completed was of Dore Abbey. It sold for £10, including the frame, and from that point his confidence as an artist continued to grow
. His portfolio now comprises more than 140 drawings, approximately one third of which were commissioned works.

For over 45 years Peter combined his passion for pen and ink drawing with a 40-year career in Engineering & Construction, creating architectural and industrial commissions that reflect both artistic skill and technical understanding.

During a 40-year career in Engineering & Construction, Peter worked on major international projects including:

> SASOL II, South Africa
> Habshan Gas Processing Plant, Abu Dhabi
> Athens International Airport, Greece
> Tengiz Oil Facility, Kazakhstan
> Kashagan Oil Field, Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan
> Petroleum Development Oman

Following his retirement in 2015, Peter moved to Malta and opened an art gallery in the historic city of Birgu (Vittoriosa), where he produced many drawings of Birgu, Valletta and the surrounding area. He moved back to Wales in 2021 and now lives with his wife in Cardiff .
‍ ‍
Today, in his 82nd year, Peter continues to draw and accepts a limited number of architectural and industrial commissions each year.
